Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) is the natural precursor of calcitriol, the biologically active hormone responsible for regulating calcium and phosphorus metabolism. It is synthesized in the skin through the photochemical conversion of 7-dehydrocholesterol following exposure to ultraviolet light. After metabolic activation, Vitamin D3 enhances intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus, promotes calcium incorporation into the bone matrix, and regulates the release of calcium from bone tissue to maintain normal calcium homeostasis. These actions are essential for healthy bone mineralization, skeletal growth, muscle function, and the maintenance of normal bone strength.

The recommended dosage is 1–2 drops daily, or as directed by the physician.

Micro-D3 Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation, hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, hypervitaminosis D, malabsorption syndrome, and nephrolithiasis (kidney stones).
