Each sachet contains Lyophilized Saccharomyces boulardii 282.5 mg (5 Billion CFU).

Sacrolyte Sachets contain Saccharomyces boulardii, a probiotic yeast that helps restore the natural intestinal microflora and supports digestive health. The formulation helps manage diarrhoeal conditions, maintains intestinal barrier function, promotes healthy enterocyte maturation, and supports gastrointestinal recovery during and after antibiotic therapy.

Sacrolyte Sachets are indicated for the management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, and diarrhoea associated with enteral feeding in adults.

Saccharomyces boulardii is a non-pathogenic probiotic yeast that functions as an intestinal replacement flora with antidiarrhoeal activity. It helps restore the normal balance of the intestinal microbiota and supports gastrointestinal health by reducing mucosal inflammation (mucositis) and restoring normal fluid transport pathways in the intestine. Saccharomyces boulardii also stimulates protein and energy production and exerts trophic effects through the release of polyamines such as spermine and spermidine, which promote the maturation and regeneration of intestinal epithelial cells (enterocytes). Additionally, it enhances brush border enzyme activity, contributing to improved intestinal function and recovery from diarrhoeal disorders.

The recommended dosage is: Adults and children above 12 years: 1–2 sachets orally, twice daily. Children 3–12 years: 1 sachet orally, three times daily. Children up to 3 years: 1 sachet orally, twice daily. Use as directed by the physician.

Sacrolyte Sachets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Saccharomyces boulardii or any component of the formulation.
