Each gel contains Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.05% w/w and Gentamicin 0.1% w/w.

Betagel-G is a combination topical formulation containing Betamethasone Dipropionate, a potent corticosteroid, and Gentamicin, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is designed for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions complicated by susceptible bacterial infections. The formulation helps reduce inflammation, redness, itching, and swelling while effectively controlling bacterial growth, promoting faster symptom relief and skin recovery.

Betagel-G is indicated for the treatment of infected dermatoses, infected eczema, and contact dermatitis associated with susceptible bacterial infections. It provides anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action to relieve symptoms and support healing.

Betamethasone Dipropionate is a potent topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It suppresses inflammatory responses by reducing mast cell density, inhibiting eosinophil activation and chemotaxis, decreasing cytokine production by inflammatory cells, and inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid, thereby reducing the formation of inflammatory mediators. Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic with bactericidal activity against many susceptible Gram-negative and selected Gram-positive bacteria (excluding streptococci and anaerobic bacteria). It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by irreversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, leading to bacterial cell death.

Apply a thin film of Betagel-G to the affected skin once or twice daily, or as directed by the physician. Avoid application to the face, groin, or axillae, or to areas where skin atrophy is present unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.

Betagel-G is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Betamethasone Dipropionate, Gentamicin, or any other component of the formulation.
