Each tablet contains Nimodipine 30 mg.

It helps prevent and treat cerebral vasospasm following subarachnoid hemorrhage by improving cerebral blood flow and reducing the risk of ischemic neurological deficits. Its cerebrovascular selectivity makes it an important therapeutic option in neurocritical care.

Nimocer Tablets are indicated for the treatment and prevention of ischemic neurological deficits caused by cerebral arterial vasospasm following subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Early initiation of therapy helps improve cerebral perfusion and reduces the risk of delayed ischemic complications.

Nimodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that inhibits the influx of calcium ions through L-type calcium channels in vascular smooth muscle cells. By reducing intracellular calcium, it relaxes cerebral arterial smooth muscle, decreases vascular resistance, and prevents vasospasm. This selective action on cerebral blood vessels improves cerebral blood flow, minimizes ischemic injury following subarachnoid hemorrhage, and supports neurological recovery.

The recommended oral dosage is 60 mg (two 30 mg tablets) every 4 hours for 21 consecutive days, preferably taken at least one hour before or two hours after meals. Treatment should be initiated within 96 hours of subarachnoid hemorrhage, or as directed by the physician.

Nimocer Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nimodipine or any component of the formulation.
