Each tablet contains Trifluoperazine 5 mg + Trihexyphenidyl 2 mg.

Parkin Plus is a combination of Trifluoperazine, a typical antipsychotic, and Trihexyphenidyl, a centrally acting anticholinergic agent. The combination is designed to provide effective management of schizophrenia while reducing extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) associated with antipsychotic therapy. Trihexyphenidyl helps improve motor function by restoring the balance between dopaminergic and cholinergic activity in the central nervous system, while Trifluoperazine controls psychotic symptoms through dopamine receptor blockade.

Parkin Plus is indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, particularly in patients requiring antipsychotic therapy with concomitant management of extrapyramidal symptoms associated with dopamine receptor blockade.

Trihexyphenidyl is a selective M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist that partially blocks central cholinergic activity, thereby restoring the balance between acetylcholine and dopamine in the basal ganglia and improving voluntary muscle movement. Trifluoperazine is a typical antipsychotic that blocks dopamine D1 and D2 receptors within the mesocortical and mesolimbic pathways, reducing hallucinations, delusions, and other symptoms associated with schizophrenia.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the treating physician.

Parkin Plus is contraindicated in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, existing blood dyscrasias, known hepatic impairment, uncontrolled cardiac decompensation, or hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
