Yogazam Tablets contain Clobazam 5 mg or 10 mg.

Yogazam Tablets contain Clobazam, a benzodiazepine with anticonvulsant and anxiolytic properties. It enhances GABA-mediated inhibitory neurotransmission, providing effective control of refractory seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) and relief of acute and chronic anxiety states. The formulation offers flexible dose titration according to patient body weight and clinical response.

Yogazam Tablets are indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic anxiety states and as adjunctive therapy in patients with refractory epilepsy associated with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) in patients 2 years of age and older.

Clobazam exerts its pharmacological action by potentiating GABAergic neurotransmission through binding to the benzodiazepine site of the GABA-A receptor complex. This enhances the inhibitory effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), resulting in reduced neuronal excitability and anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle-relaxant effects.

For doses exceeding 5 mg/day, the total daily dose should be administered in two divided doses. Patients weighing 30 kg or less should initiate treatment with 5 mg once daily, with gradual titration up to 20 mg/day as tolerated. Patients weighing more than 30 kg should initiate treatment with 10 mg once daily, with titration up to 40 mg/day according to clinical response and tolerability, or as directed by the physician.

Yogazam Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clobazam or any of the excipients present in the formulation.
