Each tablet contains Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride 5 mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 10 mg, and Paracetamol 500 mg.

Allercet Cold Tablets are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of the common cold, fever, and nasal congestion. They help relieve allergy-associated symptoms such as sneezing and rhinorrhea while reducing fever and alleviating pain associated with upper respiratory tract infections.

Levocetirizine is a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist that inhibits the action of histamine, thereby reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, and itching. Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic alpha-adrenergic agonist that produces vasoconstriction of nasal blood vessels, relieving nasal congestion and improving airflow. Paracetamol exerts its analgesic and antipyretic effects primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis within the central nervous system. It reduces pain perception and lowers body temperature by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center, promoting heat dissipation through peripheral vasodilation and sweating.

The recommended dosage for adults and children aged 12 years and above is one tablet once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Allercet Cold Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levocetirizine, Cetirizine, Hydroxyzine, Phenylephrine, Paracetamol, or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with severe hypertension, coronary artery disease, hepatic dysfunction, and in those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing MAOI therapy.
