Each tablet contains Alprazolam 0.25 mg / 0.5 mg / 1 mg.

Anxit Tablets contain Alprazolam, a benzodiazepine anxiolytic that provides effective relief from anxiety disorders and anxiety associated with depression. It acts by enhancing the inhibitory effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the central nervous system, helping reduce anxiety, nervousness, and emotional tension while promoting a calming effect.

Anxit Tablets are indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders and anxiety associated with depression.

Alprazolam belongs to the 1,4-benzodiazepine class of central nervous system (CNS) depressants. It binds to benzodiazepine receptors associated with the GABA-A receptor complex, enhancing the inhibitory action of GABA. This results in anxiolytic, sedative, muscle relaxant, and anticonvulsant effects, producing dose-dependent CNS depression.

The recommended starting dose is 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg three times daily. The dosage may be gradually increased every 3–4 days based on the patient's response and tolerability, up to a maximum daily dose of 4 mg in divided doses, or as directed by the physician.

Anxit Tablets are contraindicated in patients with: Known hypersensitivity to Alprazolam, other benzodiazepines, or any component of the formulation. Acute narrow-angle glaucoma. Patients with open-angle glaucoma may use the medicine only if receiving appropriate treatment and under medical supervision.
