Limbival Tablets: Each tablet contains Amitriptyline 12.5 mg and Chlordiazepoxide 5 mg. Limbival Forte Tablets: Each tablet contains Amitriptyline 25 mg and Chlordiazepoxide 10 mg.

Limbival Tablets and Limbival Forte Tablets combine Amitriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, with Chlordiazepoxide, a benzodiazepine anxiolytic, to provide dual therapeutic benefits in patients experiencing depression accompanied by anxiety. Amitriptyline improves mood by enhancing central monoamine neurotransmission, while Chlordiazepoxide exerts calming and anxiolytic effects by acting on the limbic system. This combination helps relieve depressive symptoms, reduce anxiety, improve emotional stability, and promote better overall mental well-being.

Limbival Tablets and Limbival Forte Tablets are indicated for the treatment of depression associated with anxiety.

Dothiepin Hydrochloride is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the synaptic availability of the neurotransmitters noradrenaline and serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine) by inhibiting their reuptake at central noradrenergic nerve terminals. Enhancement of these neurotransmitters improves mood and relieves depressive symptoms. In addition to its antidepressant effects, Dothiepin possesses significant anticholinergic, antihistaminic, and central sedative properties, which contribute to its anxiolytic and sedative actions.

Treatment is generally initiated with 25 mg three times daily for one to two weeks. If the clinical response is inadequate, the daily dose may be increased by 25 mg to 50 mg at intervals of one to two weeks according to patient response and tolerability. The total daily dose should not exceed 200 mg. Once an effective maintenance dose has been established, up to 150 mg may be administered as a single bedtime dose. As Dothiepin may cause drowsiness, the major portion of the daily dose should preferably be taken at night or as directed by the treating physician.

Dothip Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dothiepin or any component of the formulation, epilepsy due to the risk of lowering the seizure threshold, hepatic failure, and during the acute recovery phase following myocardial infarction because of the potential for cardiac conduction abnormalities and arrhythmias. The drug should not be administered concomitantly with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of discontinuing MAOI therapy because of the risk of severe central nervous system excitation, hyperthermia, coma, and other serious reactions.
