Composition

Each tablet contains Cefadroxil 250 mg / 500 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 62.5 mg / 125 mg

Broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibacterial combination effective against susceptible beta-lactamase producing organisms. Provides enhanced antibacterial coverage for respiratory tract and urinary tract infections.

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms including Staphylococcus aureus, urinary tract infections (UTI), lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI) and gonococcal urethritis.

Pharmacodynamics

Cefadroxil is a bactericidal cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects beta-lactam antibiotics from enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase producing bacteria.

Dosage and administration

One tablet orally once daily or as directed by the physician.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or any component of the formulation.
