Dajio is suitable as monotherapy in patients intolerant to Metformin and as add-on therapy with other antidiabetic medications, including insulin.

Dajio 10 Tablets are indicated for improving glycemic control in adults aged 18 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The medication may be used as monotherapy when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control and Metformin is considered inappropriate due to intolerance. It is also indicated as add-on combination therapy with other glucose-lowering medicinal products, including insulin, when diet, exercise, and existing treatment fail to achieve adequate glycemic control.

Dapagliflozin is a highly selective inhibitor of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), which is responsible for the majority of glucose reabsorption from the renal proximal tubules. The medication is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) below 30 mL/min/1.73 m², end-stage renal disease (ESRD), or those undergoing dialysis.
