Each film-coated tablet contains: Cefixime Trihydrate equivalent to Cefixime 200 mg Ornidazole 500 mg

Cefglobe OZ is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial combination containing Cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and Ornidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative with potent activity against anaerobic bacteria. The combination provides effective coverage against mixed aerobic and anaerobic infections and is useful in the management of gastrointestinal, intra-abdominal, dental, gynecological, and post-surgical infections.

Cefglobe OZ Tablets are indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections, intra-abdominal infections, dental infections, gynecological infections, and post-surgical infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. The combination is particularly useful in infections where both aerobic and anaerobic pathogens are suspected or confirmed.

Cefixime is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibacterial drug that exerts its bactericidal action by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell death. Ornidazole is a 5-nitroimidazole derivative that demonstrates potent activity against anaerobic bacteria by disrupting DNA synthesis and causing cell damage. Together, the combination provides enhanced antimicrobial activity against a broad range of pathogenic organisms involved in mixed infections.

One tablet should be administered twice daily or as directed by the physician. The dosage and duration of therapy should be determined according to the severity and nature of the infection.

Cefglobe OZ Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cefixime, cephalosporins, Ornidazole, imidazole derivatives, or any of the excipients present in the formulation.
