Composition
Each 5 ml contains Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) 20 mg, Potassium Citrate 1100 mg, and Magnesium Citrate 375 mg.
Features / Experimentation
Citalift Oral Solution is a urinary alkalinizing formulation containing Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, and Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine). It helps increase urinary pH, reduce the formation of calcium oxalate and uric acid stones, support normal urinary citrate levels, and assist in the management of renal tubular acidosis associated with calcium stone formation.
Indications
Citalift Oral Solution is indicated for the management of calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis, uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones, and renal tubular acidosis associated with calcium stones.
Pharmacodynamics
Citalift Oral Solution combines urinary alkalinizing agents and Vitamin B6 to help prevent the formation and recurrence of kidney stones. Potassium Citrate increases urinary citrate levels and alkalinizes the urine, reducing the crystallization of calcium oxalate and uric acid, thereby helping prevent stone formation. Magnesium Citrate helps maintain normal magnesium levels and contributes to urinary alkalinization, which further reduces the risk of kidney stone formation. Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) plays an important role in amino acid metabolism and may help reduce endogenous oxalate production, supporting the prevention of calcium oxalate stone formation. Together, these ingredients promote a favourable urinary environment for reducing stone recurrence and supporting urinary tract health.
Dosage and administration
The recommended dose is three teaspoons (15 ml) diluted in one glass of water, taken twice daily after meals or at bedtime, or as directed by the physician.
Contraindications
Citalift Oral Solution is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, Pyridoxine, or any component of the formulation.
