Each tablet contains Amoxicillin 500 mg and Potassium Clavulanate IP (as Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP) equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 125 mg.

This synergistic combination enhances the effectiveness of Amoxicillin against β-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby extending its antibacterial spectrum. Erox CV 625 provides reliable coverage against a wide range of pathogens commonly associated with respiratory tract, ENT, urinary tract, and skin infections, making it an effective treatment option for community-acquired bacterial infections.

Erox CV 625 Tablets are indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacterial organisms.

Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin belonging to the β-lactam class of antibiotics. It exerts its antibacterial activity by inhibiting enzymes involved in bacterial peptidoglycan synthesis, an essential component of the bacterial cell wall. This results in disruption of cell wall formation and eventual bacterial cell death. Clavulanic Acid is a β-lactam compound structurally related to penicillins that inhibits certain β-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria. By protecting Amoxicillin from enzymatic degradation, Clavulanic Acid restores and broadens its antibacterial activity against resistant pathogens.

The usual adult dosage is one tablet of Erox CV 625 administered orally every 12 hours or as directed by the physician. The duration of treatment should be determined based on the type and severity of infection and the patient's clinical response.

Erox CV 625 Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amoxicillin, Clavulanic Acid, penicillins, or any component of the formulation. The product is also contraindicated in patients with a history of allergic reactions to penicillin antibiotics and in those with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with Amoxicillin-Clavulanate therapy.
