Each dispersible tablet contains Amoxicillin 200 mg and Potassium Clavulanate IP (as Potassium Clavulanate Diluted IP) equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg.

Erox CV DT is a pediatric dispersible tablet formulation combining Amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic, with Clavulanic Acid, a potent β-lactamase inhibitor. This combination extends the antibacterial spectrum of Amoxicillin by protecting it from enzymatic degradation by β-lactamase-producing bacteria. The dispersible tablet formulation offers convenient administration for children, ensuring improved compliance and accurate dosing while providing effective treatment against a wide range of susceptible bacterial infections.

Erox CV DT is indicated for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible bacterial organisms.

Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic that acts by inhibiting enzymes involved in the synthesis of bacterial peptidoglycan, an essential structural component of the bacterial cell wall. This inhibition results in bacterial cell lysis and death. Clavulanic Acid is a β-lactam compound structurally related to penicillins that inhibits β-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thereby preventing the inactivation of Amoxicillin. The combination provides enhanced antibacterial activity against susceptible β-lactamase-producing organisms.

For children aged 2 to 6 years weighing between 13 and 21 kg, the recommended dosage is 45/6.4 mg/kg/day administered in two divided doses. This is equivalent to 10 ml of Erox CV 228 mg/5 ml suspension administered twice daily. The dispersible tablet should be dissolved in an adequate quantity of water before administration or used as directed by the physician.

Erox CV DT is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amoxicillin, Clavulanic Acid, penicillins, or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of serious allergic reactions to penicillin antibiotics and in those with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with Amoxicillin-Clavulanate therapy.
