Each tablet contains Acyclovir 200 mg / 400 mg / 800 mg.

Herparex Tablets contain Acyclovir, a potent antiviral medication effective against Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) infections. It selectively inhibits viral DNA replication, helping reduce the severity and duration of herpes infections while promoting faster healing and reducing recurrence.

Herparex Tablets are indicated for the treatment of: Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) infections of the skin Initial and recurrent genital herpes Herpes labialis (cold sores) Herpes simplex keratitis Herpes zoster (shingles)

Acyclovir is an antiviral agent with selective activity against Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV). It is converted by the viral thymidine kinase (TK) enzyme into Acyclovir monophosphate, which is subsequently converted into its active triphosphate form by host cellular enzymes. Acyclovir triphosphate inhibits viral DNA polymerase, terminating viral DNA synthesis and preventing viral replication.

The recommended dosage is: Acute Herpes Zoster: 800 mg orally every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 7–10 days. Genital Herpes: 200 mg orally every 4 hours, 5 times daily for 10 days. Or as directed by the physician.

Herparex Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Acyclovir or any component of the formulation.
