Each tablet contains Levofloxacin 250 mg, 500 mg, or 750 mg. Each vial contains Levofloxacin 500 mg in 100 mL for intravenous infusion.

Levobact is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibacterial available in both oral and intravenous formulations for the effective treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections. It exhibits potent bactericidal activity against susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic bacteria, making it a versatile treatment option for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other systemic bacterial infections. Levobact is indicated for the treatment of acute maxillary sinusitis, acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, skin and soft tissue infections, complicated urinary tract infections, and acute pyelonephritis caused by susceptible bacterial pathogens.

Levofloxacin belongs to the fluoroquinolone class of antibacterial agents and exerts its bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This mechanism results in rapid bacterial cell death and provides effective activity against a broad range of aerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.

The recommended oral dose of Levobact Tablets is 250 mg, 500 mg, or 750 mg once every 24 hours, depending on the type and severity of the infection. The tablets may be taken with or without food. For intravenous administration, Levobact Injection is given as 250 mg or 500 mg by slow infusion over 60 minutes or 750 mg by slow infusion over 90 minutes once every 24 hours, as directed by the treating physician.

Levobact is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin, other fluoroquinolones, or any component of the formulation.
