Monoguard-B Cream contains Sertaconazole Nitrate 2% w/w + Beclomethasone Dipropionate 0.025% w/w.

Monoguard-B Cream combines the broad-spectrum antifungal activity of Sertaconazole Nitrate with the anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects of Beclomethasone Dipropionate. It effectively treats inflammatory fungal skin infections by eliminating fungal pathogens while reducing redness, itching, swelling, and discomfort associated with dermatophyte infections.

Monoguard-B Cream is indicated for the treatment of tinea infections associated with inflammatory skin conditions.

Sertaconazole is an azole antifungal agent that inhibits the fungal cytochrome P450-mediated 14-α-lanosterol demethylase enzyme, preventing the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This disruption of fungal cell membrane synthesis leads to fungal cell injury and death. Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties that acts by inducing phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively known as lipocortins, thereby suppressing inflammatory mediator synthesis.

Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly before application. Apply Monoguard-B Cream twice daily to the affected skin or as directed by the physician.

Monoguard-B Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sertaconazole Nitrate, Beclomethasone Dipropionate, or any component of the formulation.
