Petril Plus Tablets: Each tablet contains Clonazepam 0.5 mg + Escitalopram 10 mg. Petril Plus LS Tablets: Each tablet contains Clonazepam 0.25 mg + Escitalopram 10 mg.

Petril Plus Tablets combine Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine anxiolytic, with Escitalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), to provide comprehensive management of comorbid anxiety and depression. The combination offers rapid relief from anxiety symptoms through Clonazepam while Escitalopram provides long-term antidepressant and anxiolytic benefits by enhancing serotonergic neurotransmission.

Clonazepam enhances the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), the primary inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, producing anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative, and muscle relaxant effects. Escitalopram, the S-enantiomer of citalopram, selectively inhibits the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) in the central nervous system, increasing serotonergic neurotransmission and improving symptoms of depression and anxiety.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, with or without food, or as directed by the physician.

Petril Plus / Petril Plus LS Tablets are contraindicated in patients with: Known hypersensitivity to Clonazepam, Escitalopram, or any component of the formulation. Significant liver disease (clinical or biochemical evidence). Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
