Phytoral Bar contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w and Triclosan 0.3% w/w.

Phytoral Bar combines the broad-spectrum antifungal activity of Ketoconazole with the antibacterial properties of Triclosan to provide effective cleansing and treatment of superficial fungal skin infections. It helps eliminate pathogenic fungi, reduces microbial colonization, relieves itching and irritation, and promotes healthy skin hygiene.

Phytoral Bar is indicated for the topical treatment of tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Epidermophyton floccosum, as well as cutaneous candidiasis.

Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. The depletion of ergosterol disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, leading to inhibition of fungal growth and eventual fungal cell death. Triclosan provides additional antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial fatty acid synthesis, helping reduce microbial contamination and supporting overall skin hygiene.

Wet the affected skin thoroughly with water. Apply Phytoral Bar to produce a rich lather, gently massage over the affected area, leave the lather on the skin for approximately 3 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with water. Use as directed by the physician.

Phytoral Bar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketoconazole, Triclosan, or any component of the formulation.
