Phytoral Powder contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w.

Phytoral Powder is a topical antifungal formulation containing Ketoconazole 2%, designed to effectively treat superficial fungal infections while helping keep the affected skin dry. It inhibits fungal growth by disrupting fungal cell membrane synthesis, providing relief from itching, scaling, redness, and irritation associated with dermatophytic and candidal infections.

Phytoral Powder is indicated for the topical treatment of tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, and Epidermophyton floccosum, as well as cutaneous candidiasis.

Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal agent that inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. Depletion of ergosterol disrupts membrane integrity and permeability, leading to inhibition of fungal growth and eventual fungal cell death.

Phytoral Powder should be applied once daily to the affected area and the surrounding skin for 2 weeks, or as directed by the physician.

Phytoral Powder is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Ketoconazole or any component of the formulation.
