Each tablet contains Risperidone 2 mg + Trihexyphenidyl 2 mg.

Rispond Plus LS Tablets combine Risperidone, an atypical antipsychotic, with Trihexyphenidyl, a centrally acting anticholinergic agent. This combination is designed to effectively manage schizophrenia and acute manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder while helping prevent or reduce extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) associated with antipsychotic therapy. Risperidone controls psychotic symptoms by modulating dopamine and serotonin receptors, whereas Trihexyphenidyl restores the balance between dopamine and acetylcholine in the central nervous system to improve motor function.

Rispond Plus LS Tablets are indicated for the treatment and management of schizophrenia and acute manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. The combination is particularly useful in patients who require antipsychotic therapy along with management of drug-induced extrapyramidal symptoms.

Risperidone exerts its antipsychotic effect through potent antagonism of dopamine D2 and serotonin 5-HT2A receptors, thereby improving positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia and stabilizing mood in bipolar disorder. Trihexyphenidyl is a centrally acting anticholinergic agent that blocks muscarinic receptors, restoring the balance between dopaminergic and cholinergic activity within the basal ganglia, thereby reducing extrapyramidal symptoms associated with dopamine receptor blockade.

The recommended dosage is one tablet once daily, taken with or without food, or as directed by the physician.

Rispond Plus LS is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Risperidone, Trihexyphenidyl, or any component of the formulation, and in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma.
