Each tablet contains Cefixime 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg.

The combination offers broad-spectrum coverage against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and is effective in the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, otitis media, dental infections, and other susceptible bacterial infections.

Ritecef CV Tablets are indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs), otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, urinary tract infections (UTIs), biliary tract infections, and dental infections caused by susceptible bacterial pathogens.

Cefixime is a semi-synthetic, oral third-generation cephalosporin with potent bactericidal activity against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. It exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in bacterial cell death. Clavulanic Acid is an irreversible inhibitor of intracellular and extracellular β-lactamases, protecting Cefixime from enzymatic degradation and extending its antibacterial spectrum against resistant organisms.

For adults and children over 12 years of age, the recommended dosage is one tablet twice daily. The usual duration of treatment is 7 days, which may be extended up to 14 days depending on the severity of the infection and clinical response, or as directed by the treating physician.

Ritecef CV Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cefixime, other cephalosporins, Clavulanic Acid, or any component of the formulation.
