S-Celepra Tablets are available in strengths containing Escitalopram Oxalate equivalent to Escitalopram 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg.

S-Celepra Tablets contain Escitalopram Oxalate, a highly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that enhances serotonergic neurotransmission within the central nervous system. As the active S-enantiomer of citalopram, Escitalopram provides effective antidepressant and anxiolytic activity with high selectivity for the serotonin transporter. S-Celepra is indicated for the management of major depressive disorder and panic disorder, helping improve mood, reduce anxiety, and restore emotional well-being.

S-Celepra Tablets are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) and panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia.

Escitalopram is the pharmacologically active S-enantiomer of racemic citalopram and belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class of antidepressants. It selectively inhibits the neuronal reuptake of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT) within the central nervous system, thereby increasing serotonin concentrations in the synaptic cleft and prolonging serotonergic neurotransmission. Enhancement of serotonin-mediated neurotransmission contributes to improvement in depressive symptoms, reduction in anxiety, and better emotional regulation.

For adults and adolescents with major depressive disorder, the recommended starting dose is 10 mg once daily, administered either in the morning or evening, with or without food. Depending on the patient's clinical response and tolerability, the dosage may be increased up to a maximum of 20 mg once daily. Dosage should be individualized according to the patient's therapeutic response and physician's recommendation.

S-Celepra Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Escitalopram, Citalopram, or any component of the formulation. Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) intended for the treatment of psychiatric disorders is contraindicated because of the increased risk of serotonin syndrome. Treatment with S-Celepra should not be initiated within 14 days of discontinuing an MAOI, and MAOI therapy should not be started within 14 days after stopping Escitalopram.
