Each capsule contains Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg.

Uronex Capsules contain Tamsulosin Hydrochloride, a selective alpha-1A adrenergic receptor blocker that helps relieve lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The formulation improves urinary flow, reduces urinary obstruction, and enhances bladder emptying without affecting prostate size.

Uronex Capsules are indicated for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Tamsulosin Hydrochloride is a selective alpha-1A adrenergic receptor antagonist that primarily targets receptors located in the prostate, prostatic urethra, and bladder neck. By selectively blocking these receptors, Tamsulosin relaxes the smooth muscle of the lower urinary tract, reducing urethral resistance and improving urinary flow. This results in effective relief of lower urinary tract symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia, including difficulty in urination, weak urinary stream, urinary frequency, and incomplete bladder emptying, while having minimal effects on systemic blood pressure.

The recommended dose is one Uronex Capsule 0.4 mg once daily, taken approximately 30 minutes after the same meal each day. Patients who do not respond adequately after 2 to 4 weeks may have the dose increased to 0.8 mg once daily, as directed by the physician.

Uronex Capsules are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Tamsulosin Hydrochloride or any component of the formulation.
