Composition
Each tablet contains Ferrous Ascorbate equivalent to Elemental Iron 100 mg + Folic Acid IP 1.5 mg. Each 5 mL suspension contains Ferrous Ascorbate 30 mg + Folic Acid IP 500 mcg.

Haematinic formulation used for the prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anaemia. Helps improve haemoglobin synthesis, supports red blood cell production and restores iron and folate levels.
Indications
Indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anaemia and nutritional folate deficiency.
Pharmacodynamics
Ferrous ascorbate is a synthetic complex of iron and ascorbic acid that enhances iron absorption and haemoglobin formation. Folic acid is essential for nucleoprotein synthesis, cell division, amino acid metabolism and maintenance of normal erythropoiesis.
Dosage and administration
One tablet daily or one teaspoonful of suspension daily, or as directed by the physician.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to ferrous ascorbate, folic acid or any component of the formulation, porphyria cutanea tarda, haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis and haemolytic anaemia.
