Each injection contains Amoxycillin equivalent to 1000 mg + Clavulanic Acid equivalent to 200 mg

Broad-spectrum injectable beta-lactam antibacterial combination effective against beta-lactamase producing organisms. Used for the management of moderate to severe bacterial infections and surgical infection prophylaxis.

Indicated for short-term treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections, genito-urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal sepsis and for prophylaxis against infections associated with major surgical procedures.

Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic penicillin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxycillin from enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase producing bacteria.

Adults: Administer intravenously every 6–8 hours by slow intravenous injection over 2 minutes or intravenous infusion over 30 minutes followed by oral therapy when clinically appropriate or as directed by the physician.

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to penicillins, clavulanic acid or formulation components, history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics and previous drug-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
