Each film-coated tablet contains Dapagliflozin 10 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride Sustained Release 500 mg or 1000 mg.

Dajio-M Tablets combine Dapagliflozin, a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, with sustained-release Metformin Hydrochloride, a biguanide antihyperglycemic agent, to provide complementary glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin lowers blood glucose by promoting urinary glucose excretion through inhibition of renal glucose reabsorption, while Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, improves peripheral insulin sensitivity, and reduces intestinal glucose absorption. The once-daily sustained-release formulation offers effective glycemic control with improved treatment adherence and additional metabolic benefits.

Dajio-M Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both Dapagliflozin and Metformin is appropriate.

Dapagliflozin is a selective inhibitor of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), the primary transporter responsible for glucose reabsorption in the proximal renal tubules. Dajio-M Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dapagliflozin, Metformin, or any component of the formulation. The medication is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (eGFR below 30 mL/min/1.73 m²), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), patients undergoing dialysis, and those with metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis.
