Each film-coated modified-release tablet contains Gliclazide IP 30 mg or Gliclazide IP 60 mg.

Dianorm OD Tablets contain Gliclazide, a second-generation sulfonylurea presented in a modified-release formulation for convenient once-daily administration. Gliclazide effectively lowers blood glucose by stimulating insulin secretion from functional pancreatic β-cells while also providing beneficial hemovascular effects through partial inhibition of platelet aggregation and adhesion. The modified-release formulation provides sustained glycemic control throughout the day and supports improved treatment adherence in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Dianorm OD Tablets are indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus) in adult patients when diet, exercise, and lifestyle modification alone are insufficient to achieve adequate glycemic control.

Gliclazide is a second-generation sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic β-cells by promoting closure of ATP-sensitive potassium channels, resulting in improved glucose-dependent insulin release. In addition to its antihyperglycemic effect, Gliclazide decreases microthrombosis through partial inhibition of platelet aggregation and platelet adhesion while reducing markers of platelet activation, including beta-thromboglobulin and thromboxane B₂. These actions may contribute to reducing the risk of diabetic microvascular complications.

The recommended dosage is one modified-release tablet taken orally once daily or as directed by the treating physician. The tablet should preferably be taken with breakfast or the first main meal of the day and swallowed whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking. Dosage should be individualized according to the patient's glycemic response and clinical requirements.

Dianorm OD Tablets are contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment, known hypersensitivity to Gliclazide or any component of the formulation, and in patients for whom sulfonylurea therapy is otherwise contraindicated.
