Each sustained-release tablet contains Glimepiride 1 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (Sustained Release).

Diapride M1 Tablets combine Glimepiride, a second-generation sulfonylurea, with sustained-release Metformin Hydrochloride to provide dual-mechanism glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride stimulates insulin secretion from functioning pancreatic β-cells and also exerts extra-pancreatic effects that improve insulin sensitivity. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and enhances peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. The sustained-release formulation offers prolonged therapeutic action, improved gastrointestinal tolerability, and convenient once-daily dosing to support long-term diabetes management.

Diapride M1 Tablets are indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults whose blood glucose levels remain inadequately controlled with diet, exercise, and single-agent antidiabetic therapy.

The recommended dosage is one tablet taken orally once daily with breakfast or the first main meal of the day, or as directed by the treating physician. The tablet should be swallowed whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking.

Diapride M1 Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Glimepiride, Metformin, or any component of the formulation. The medication is also contraindicated in patients with acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma. Diabetic ketoacidosis should be treated with insulin rather than oral antidiabetic agents.
