Each sustained-release tablet contains Glimepiride 2 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (Sustained Release).

Diapride M2 Forte Tablets combine Glimepiride, a second-generation sulfonylurea, with sustained-release Metformin Hydrochloride to provide dual-mechanism glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride enhances insulin secretion from functioning pancreatic β-cells while also improving peripheral insulin sensitivity through extra-pancreatic actions. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal glucose absorption, and improves peripheral glucose utilization. The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged glycemic control, better gastrointestinal tolerability, and convenient once-daily dosing for improved patient adherence.

Diapride M2 Forte Tablets are indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults whose blood glucose levels remain inadequately controlled despite diet, exercise, and single-agent antidiabetic therapy.

Glimepiride lowers blood glucose primarily by stimulating insulin secretion from functioning pancreatic β-cells. In addition to its pancreatic mechanism, extra-pancreatic effects contribute to enhanced insulin sensitivity and improved glucose utilization. Diapride M2 Forte Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Glimepiride, Metformin, or any component of the formulation. The medication is also contraindicated in patients with acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis, with or without coma.
