Analgesic and antipyretic formulation used for effective relief from fever, headache, body pain and mild to moderate pain conditions. Provides symptomatic relief with good gastrointestinal tolerability.

Indications

Indicated for the treatment of fever and associated pain including headache, body ache, musculoskeletal pain and common cold symptoms.

Pharmacodynamics

Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic agent that acts primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis within the central nervous system, thereby reducing pain and fever.

Dosage and administration

Adults and children above 12 years: 650 mg every 4–6 hours as required, up to a maximum dose of 4 g/day or as directed by the physician.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any component of the formulation and in severe or active hepatic impairment.
