Each 100 mL contains Paracetamol IP 1000 mg in Water for Injection IP

Intravenous analgesic and antipyretic formulation used for rapid relief of moderate pain and fever when oral administration is not feasible. Particularly useful in postoperative and hospitalized patients.

Indicated for short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially postoperative pain, and short-term treatment of fever where intravenous administration is clinically justified.

Paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic agent that primarily inhibits prostaglandin synthesis within the central nervous system, resulting in reduction of pain and fever.

Adults and adolescents ≥50 kg: 1000 mg every 6 hours up to a maximum of 4000 mg/day. Adults and adolescents <50 kg: 15 mg/kg every 6 hours or 12.5 mg/kg every 4 hours up to a maximum of 75 mg/kg/day. Children 2–12 years: 15 mg/kg every 6 hours or 12.5 mg/kg every 4 hours. Administer as a 15-minute intravenous infusion or as directed by the physician.

Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol or formulation components and in severe or active hepatic impairment.q
