Indicated for the treatment of fever and mild to moderate pain in paediatric patients.
Pharmacodynamics
Paracetamol is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic agent that primarily inhibits prostaglandin synthesis within the central nervous system, thereby reducing fever and pain perception.
Dosage and administration
Dose should be administered according to body weight. Recommended dosage: 10–15 mg/kg per dose at appropriate intervals or as directed by the physician.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to paracetamol or any component of the formulation and in severe or active hepatic impairment.
