Dolotuss SF Suspension contains Levocloperastine Hydrochloride, an effective antitussive agent with a dual mechanism of action that provides relief from dry, non-productive cough. It acts centrally by suppressing the cough reflex and peripherally by reducing the sensitivity of cough receptors in the tracheobronchial tree. The formulation offers effective cough control without significantly impairing normal respiratory function and helps improve patient comfort during persistent dry cough.

Dolotuss SF Suspension is indicated for the treatment of non-productive (dry) cough in adult patients. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of persistent dry cough associated with upper respiratory tract irritation and other non-productive cough conditions.

Levocloperastine Hydrochloride exerts its antitussive effect through a dual mechanism of action. It acts centrally on the bulbar cough center to suppress the cough reflex while simultaneously acting on peripheral cough receptors within the tracheobronchial tree, reducing airway sensitivity and cough stimulation. This combined central and peripheral action provides effective symptomatic relief from dry cough.

The recommended dosage for adults is 5 mL three times daily, or as directed by the physician.

Dolotuss SF Suspension is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levocloperastine Hydrochloride or any component of the formulation. It should also not be used in patients with excessive mucus production, impaired mucociliary function, or severe hepatic impairment.
