Epitane Eye Drops contain Fluorometholone 0.1%, a topical ophthalmic corticosteroid indicated for the management of steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions. It helps reduce ocular inflammation, redness, swelling, and discomfort while providing effective anti-inflammatory action under medical supervision.

Epitane Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of non-infected and infected inflammatory ocular conditions where corticosteroid therapy is considered appropriate.

Fluorometholone is a synthetic corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory properties. It suppresses the inflammatory response by inducing lipocortin proteins, which inhibit phospholipase A2, thereby reducing the formation of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. This action helps alleviate ocular inflammation, redness, pain, and swelling associated with steroid-responsive eye disorders while reducing tissue damage caused by inflammatory processes.

Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac two to four times daily, or as directed by the physician. In chronic conditions, treatment should be discontinued gradually by reducing the frequency of administration.

Epitane Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Fluorometholone or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in most viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva, mycobacterial infections of the eye, and fungal ocular infections.
