Each capsule contains Esomeprazole 40 mg + Levosulpiride 75 mg SR.

The combination suppresses gastric acid secretion while enhancing gastrointestinal motility, making it suitable for patients with GERD who do not respond adequately to proton pump inhibitor therapy alone.

Esofag L Capsules are indicated for the short-term treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) in patients who do not respond adequately to proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy alone.

Esomeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by specifically inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase proton pump in gastric parietal cells. Levosulpiride is a prokinetic agent that blocks dopamine (D2) receptors in the enteric nervous system and acts as an agonist at serotonin (5-HT4) receptors, thereby enhancing gastrointestinal motility and promoting gastric emptying.

The recommended dosage is one capsule once daily before food, or as directed by the physician.

Esofag L Capsules are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Esomeprazole, Levosulpiride, substituted benzimidazoles, or any component of the formulation. Serious hypersensitivity reactions may include anaphylaxis, anaphylactic shock, angioedema, bronchospasm, acute interstitial nephritis, and urticaria.
