Each tablet contains Esomeprazole 40 mg.

Esofag Tablets contain Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that effectively suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric proton pump. It provides long-lasting acid control and is indicated for the management of GERD, NSAID-associated gastric ulcers, Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of combination therapy), and pathological hypersecretory conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Esofag Tablets are indicated for: Treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Risk reduction of NSAID-associated gastric ulcers Helicobacter pylori eradication (as part of triple therapy) to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence Pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion through specific inhibition of the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells. This action effectively reduces gastric acidity, promotes ulcer healing, and relieves acid-related gastrointestinal disorders.

GERD: One 20 mg or 40 mg tablet once daily for 4–8 weeks NSAID-associated gastric ulcer: 20 mg or 40 mg once daily for up to 6 months H. pylori eradication (Triple Therapy): 40 mg once daily for 10 days Or as directed by the physician.

Esofag Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Esomeprazole or any component of the formulation.
