Allylestrenol is a synthetic progestogen with pharmacological actions similar to those of progesterone. It binds to progesterone and estrogen receptors in target tissues, including the female reproductive tract, mammary glands, hypothalamus, and pituitary gland. By exerting progestational activity, Allylestrenol helps maintain the endometrium and supports pregnancy. It also suppresses the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus and reduces the pre-ovulatory luteinizing hormone (LH) surge, thereby supporting the hormonal environment necessary for pregnancy maintenance.

For threatened abortion, the recommended dose is 5–10 mg daily for one week, or as directed by the physician.

Fulterm Tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Allylestrenol or any component of the formulation.
