Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) is a chemically modified cellulose polymer that possesses viscoelastic and lubricating properties without known receptor affinity or pharmacological activity. It forms a protective film over the ocular surface, helping retain moisture and reduce friction during blinking. Glycerine acts as a humectant to maintain hydration of the ocular surface, while Dextran 70 enhances tear film stability and lubrication. Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) three times daily, or as directed by the physician.

Lacrisol Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerine, Dextran 70, or any component of the formulation.
