Levobact Eye Drops contain Levofloxacin 0.5%, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible organisms. The formulation provides rapid bactericidal activity against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, helping relieve infection and promote ocular recovery.

Levobact Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible bacterial strains.

Levofloxacin is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic that exerts its bactericidal action by inhibiting DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and cell division. Inhibition of these enzymes prevents bacterial DNA synthesis, resulting in rapid elimination of susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative ocular pathogens responsible for bacterial conjunctivitis.

On Days 1 and 2, instill one to two drops into the affected eye(s) every two hours while awake, up to eight times daily. From Days 3 through 7, instill one to two drops every four hours while awake, up to four times daily, or as directed by the physician.

Levobact Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formulation.
