Pharmacodynamics

Loratadine is a tricyclic antihistamine with selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonistic activity. It inhibits histamine-mediated allergic responses, thereby reducing symptoms such as itching, urticaria, and allergic manifestations with minimal sedative effects.

Dosage and administration

One mouth dissolving tablet once daily or as directed by the physician.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to loratadine or any component of the formulation.
