Micronac PF Eye Drops contain Nepafenac 0.1%, a preservative-free non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated to relieve pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery. Following ocular administration, Nepafenac is converted into its active metabolite, Amfenac, providing effective inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and helping improve postoperative comfort and recovery.

Micronac PF Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with cataract surgery.

Nepafenac is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) prodrug that readily penetrates the cornea following ocular administration. It is rapidly converted by ocular tissue hydrolases into Amfenac, the active metabolite. Amfenac inhibits cyclooxygenase (prostaglandin H synthase), an enzyme essential for prostaglandin synthesis. By reducing prostaglandin production, Micronac PF Eye Drops help control postoperative ocular pain and inflammation following cataract surgery.

Instill one drop into the affected eye three times daily, beginning one day before cataract surgery, continuing on the day of surgery, and for the first two weeks of the postoperative period, or as directed by the ophthalmologist.

Micronac PF Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Nepafenac, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or any component of the formulation.
