Each ml contains Dorzolamide Hydrochloride 2% w/v and Timolol Maleate equivalent to Timolol 0.5% w/v Ophthalmic Solution.

Misopt Eye Drops combine Dorzolamide Hydrochloride and Timolol Maleate to provide dual-action reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The combination lowers aqueous humour production through complementary mechanisms, providing effective IOP control and helping reduce the risk of glaucomatous optic nerve damage.

Misopt Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Misopt Eye Drops combine two complementary anti-glaucoma agents that reduce intraocular pressure by decreasing aqueous humour production. Dorzolamide Hydrochloride is a carbonic anhydrase II inhibitor that inhibits carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye, reducing bicarbonate ion formation and subsequently decreasing sodium and fluid transport, which lowers aqueous humour secretion. Timolol Maleate is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker that reduces aqueous humour production without significant intrinsic sympathomimetic, direct myocardial depressant, or local anaesthetic activity. Together, these mechanisms provide enhanced intraocular pressure reduction.

Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) twice daily, or as directed by the physician.

Misopt Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with bronchial asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), sinus bradycardia, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block, overt cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock, or known hypersensitivity to Dorzolamide, Timolol, sulphonamides, or any component of the formulation.
