Monosopt Eye Drops contain Dorzolamide Hydrochloride 2%, a topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitor indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It lowers aqueous humour production, helping maintain optimal intraocular pressure and reduce the risk of progressive optic nerve damage.

Monosopt Eye Drops are indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.

Dorzolamide Hydrochloride is a carbonic anhydrase II inhibitor that acts by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye. This inhibition reduces the formation of bicarbonate ions, resulting in decreased sodium and fluid transport across the ciliary epithelium and consequently reducing aqueous humour secretion. The reduction in aqueous humour production lowers intraocular pressure, helping protect the optic nerve in patients with glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Instill one drop into the affected eye(s) three times daily, or as directed by the physician.

Monosopt Eye Drops are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dorzolamide Hydrochloride or any component of the formulation.
