Silybon Tablets & Suspension contain Silymarin, a well-established hepatoprotective agent derived from Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum). It helps protect liver cells from toxin-induced damage, supports regeneration of hepatocytes, and improves overall liver function. Its antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing properties make it a valuable supportive therapy for patients with chronic liver disease and cirrhosis.

Silybon Tablets & Suspension are indicated for the supportive treatment of chronic liver disease and cirrhosis.

Silymarin exerts its hepatoprotective effects by stabilizing hepatocyte cell membranes, thereby reducing their permeability to hepatotoxic substances. It competitively inhibits the binding of toxins at the cell membrane, helping protect liver cells from damage. In addition, Silymarin possesses antioxidant properties that neutralize free radicals, reduce oxidative stress, and promote the regeneration of damaged hepatocytes, thereby supporting liver function and recovery.

The recommended dosage is: Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily Children above 12 years: 10 ml suspension 3–4 times daily Children above 5 years: 5–6 mg/kg/day, or as directed by the physician.

Silybon Tablets & Suspension are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Silymarin or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in children below 5 years of age.
