Each tablet contains Sitagliptin 25 mg / 50 mg / 100 mg.

Sitanorm Tablets contain Sitagliptin, a selective DPP-4 (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4) inhibitor that improves glycaemic control by enhancing the activity of endogenous incretin hormones. It increases glucose-dependent insulin secretion while reducing glucagon secretion, thereby lowering both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used as monotherapy. Sitanorm can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan.

Sitanorm Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that slows the degradation of incretin hormones, including GLP-1 and GIP. By increasing and prolonging the activity of these endogenous hormones, sitagliptin enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells and suppresses glucagon secretion from alpha cells, resulting in improved glycaemic control without significant stimulation of insulin release during normal glucose levels.

The recommended dosage is one tablet orally once daily, with or without food, or as directed by the physician.

Sitanorm Tablets are contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reactions to sitagliptin, including anaphylaxis or angioedema.
