Each uncoated bilayered tablet contains Glimepiride 1 mg + Pioglitazone 7.5 mg + Metformin Hydrochloride SR 500 mg.

Tripride 1 LP Tablets combine Glimepiride (sulfonylurea), Pioglitazone (thiazolidinedione), and Sustained-Release Metformin (biguanide) to provide comprehensive glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Glimepiride stimulates insulin secretion from functioning pancreatic beta cells, Pioglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity by activating PPAR-γ receptors, and Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production while improving peripheral glucose utilization. This triple combination targets multiple pathophysiological mechanisms of type 2 diabetes for improved glycaemic management when monotherapy or dual therapy is inadequate.

Tripride 1 LP Tablets are indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in patients whose glycaemic targets are not achieved with diet, exercise, monotherapy, or dual antidiabetic therapy.

Glimepiride lowers blood glucose primarily by stimulating insulin release from functioning pancreatic beta cells. Pioglitazone selectively activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), regulating the expression of insulin-sensitive genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism, thereby improving insulin sensitivity in muscle, adipose tissue, and the liver. Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, reduces intestinal glucose absorption, and enhances peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. Together, these complementary mechanisms improve both fasting and postprandial glycaemic control.

The recommended initial dosage is one tablet orally once daily, or as directed by the physician.

Tripride 1 LP Tablets are contraindicated in patients with renal impairment, metabolic acidosis including diabetic ketoacidosis, and known hypersensitivity to Glimepiride, Pioglitazone, Metformin, or any component of the formulation.
