This triple-drug combination is formulated to improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus through complementary mechanisms of action.

Tripride 2 LP Tablets combine the insulin-secretagogue action of Glimepiride, the insulin-sensitizing effect of Pioglitazone, and the antihyperglycaemic action of sustained-release Metformin. Glimepiride stimulates insulin release from functioning pancreatic beta cells, Pioglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity by activating PPAR-γ receptors, and Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production while improving peripheral glucose utilization. The sustained-release formulation of Metformin improves gastrointestinal tolerability and supports convenient once-daily dosing, making the combination suitable for patients requiring intensified glycaemic management.

Tripride 2 LP Tablets are indicated for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) in adults whose glycaemic targets are not adequately achieved with diet, exercise, monotherapy, or dual oral antidiabetic therapy. It is used as an adjunct to lifestyle modifications to achieve improved blood glucose control.

Tripride 2 LP Tablets provide glycaemic control through three complementary mechanisms. Glimepiride stimulates insulin secretion from functioning pancreatic beta cells, thereby lowering blood glucose levels. Pioglitazone selectively activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), improving insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle, adipose tissue, and the liver through regulation of genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism. Tripride 2 LP Tablets are contraindicated in patients with renal impairment, metabolic acidosis including diabetic ketoacidosis, and in individuals with known hypersensitivity to Glimepiride, Pioglitazone, Metformin, or any component of the formulation.
