Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets contain Dapagliflozin 5 mg (as Dapagliflozin Propanediol Monohydrate), Vildagliptin 50 mg (Immediate Release), and Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (Immediate Release). This fixed-dose triple combination provides complementary mechanisms of action for improving glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets combine an SGLT2 inhibitor, a DPP-4 inhibitor, and a biguanide to target multiple pathophysiological defects of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Dapagliflozin promotes urinary glucose excretion by inhibiting renal glucose reabsorption, Vildagliptin enhances glucose-dependent insulin secretion by increasing endogenous incretin hormone levels, and Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production while improving insulin sensitivity and peripheral glucose utilization. This triple combination provides effective control of both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels while complementing diet and exercise.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus requiring combination oral antidiabetic therapy.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets provide glycaemic control through three complementary mechanisms. Dapagliflozin inhibits sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2), reducing renal glucose reabsorption, lowering the renal threshold for glucose, and increasing urinary glucose excretion. Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that rapidly and effectively inhibits DPP-4 activity, resulting in increased fasting and postprandial endogenous incretin hormone levels, thereby improving glucose-dependent insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release. Metformin is an antihyperglycaemic agent that decreases hepatic glucose production, reduces intestinal glucose absorption, and enhances peripheral glucose uptake and utilization, resulting in improved insulin sensitivity and glycaemic control.

The recommended dosage is one tablet taken orally once daily with food, or as directed by the treating physician. The dosage should be individualized based on the patient's glycaemic response and clinical condition.

Vildapride DM Tablets / Vilpower DM Tablets are contraindicated in patients with a history of serious hypersensitivity reactions to Dapagliflozin, Vildagliptin, Metformin, or any component of the formulation. They are also contraindicated in patients with metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis.
